World class walking this morning: Autumn breaks in West Wales?

We had great times in France but today’s walk near Llangrannog, Cardigan Bay, matched the best of them. We had sunshine, blues skies, woodlands, cliffs and beaches…without the crowds.

Autumn leaves holiday cottage garden Wales

We are off to Europe for with our dogs for a month’s exploring in our motorhome. Holiday cottage bookings, will carry on as normal. We will be picking up e mails and calls on Mick’s mobile. The Stallion Valley blog is on hold for the next month.

Dog friendly holiday cottages: We also like cats!

Misty our cat had a bit of a strop the other day. Said nobody loved her and cuddled up to a little stone smiley man on our windowsill. Well for the record cats are welcome, misty says tall, slim, dark and handsome in particular!

Are grey squirrels vermin or just cute?

They have been a nuisance eating more than their fair share from the bird feeders.... Having said all that negative stuff about grey squirrels don’t you just have to admit this one photographed in a Stallion Valley holiday cottage garden is cute?

A morning out to Brechfa Forest for holiday cottage owners

Dog friendly walks along forest paths. We chose the 3.5 mile Gorlech trail, about 2 hours, peaceful walking through magnificent woodland. Our dogs who enjoying running free through woodlands, had a wonderful time.

Woodland walk near Holiday cottages in West Wales

You can walk to these woods from Stallion Valley holiday cottages. We enjoy the shaded woodland walk the peace and quiet and the babbling stream. If your dogs like to run free through the woods they will love this dog friendly walk.

Holiday cottage Wales: Bird watching summer 2013

Last year’s swallows have returned presumably with their chicks as we have 4 swallows’ nests this year, two each in our stone barn and in the new games room / activity barn. They swoop around the farmyard and low over the ponds.

Not only the owners but also their dogs are dog friendly at holiday cottages in Wales

Hamish (left) and Roulis (right) who is visiting from Germany have become firm friends. We are not sure what they are discussing at their Anglo – German summit but we think it may make more sense than discussions between Mr Cameron & Mrs Merkel
