A morning out to Brechfa Forest for holiday cottage owners

Dog friendly walks along forest paths

Brechfa Forest is a Carmarthenshire under 20 miles away and we headed for the car park in Abergorlech.

There are signs and guides to both the footpaths and the mountain bike trails.

We chose the 3.5 mile Gorlech trail, about 2 hours, peaceful walking through magnificent woodland. Our dogs who enjoying running free through woodlands, had a wonderful time.

Back at the car park ready for lunch we walked a few yards up the road to the Black Lion Inn for refreshments. The dog friendly pub had an excellent garden overlooking The Cothi River so we chose to sit outside.

Bird watchers will be interested to know that from the beer garden we spotted dippers on the river below.
