Stallion Valley Our Vision

Hi, we are Julie and Mick Baross, we brought Cwm March in June 2002 from Fred the 79 year old owner who needed a home he could maintain more easily!

For us this is life after kids. We want the good life, to live in a wonderful area in beautiful environment. We love our animals, the wildlife and our local friends. We also love showing them off and sharing Stallion Valley and West Wales with our daughters, grandchildren, family friends and of course holiday cottage guests.

We want Stallion Valley to be a place of beauty, relaxation and fun. We want people to enjoy all the wonders of West Wales, the people that live here and the food they produce.

We need to thank past holiday cottage guests for their encouragement and suggestions. Their feedback has been the inspiration of many of our developments

We hope you will visit and share our enjoyment of the grade II listed buildings, ponds, woods, our pets, bird watching and the local wildlife.

About Stallion Valley

History

Once this was a dairy farm, Freddie, the previous owner moved here to West Wales from Ongar in Essex with his parents and grandmother in 1951 and the family milked a herd of Jersey cows. When his grandmother & parents died Freddie sold off the cows and the surrounding fields and lived on the proceeds

Developing our Holiday Cottages and Guest Facilities

Since 2002 we have been working hard to restore what remained of the original working farm back to its former glory.

In August 2004 we started letting The Farmhouse and over the next 5 years enjoyed welcoming our holiday guests to such a degree that we decided to converted our falling down barns into more cottages.

Work commenced Easter 2009  on The Byre & The Mill and was completed a year later.

2011 we restored the dairy as an information room and laundry.

2012 we replaced the old open barn with a new enclosed barn to provide in indoor activity centre.

2013 we are writing The Stallion Valley visitor guide to West Wales and have rebuilt the Stallion Valley website.

We have a photo album recording Stallion valley’s development for guests interested to see more.
