Holiday cottages hidden away in West Wales with on-site activities and abundant wildlife.
Stallion Valley holiday cottages are onjust over 3 acres of land at the end of a 400 metre stone farm track. Its boundaries are a cordon of mature trees and in summer, when they are in leaf there is a feeling of splendid isolation. Beyond the trees are farm fields usually grazed by, horses, sheep and or cattle.
Walking: There are off road walks from your doorstep. A public footpath runs through Stallion valley and connects to a scenic rural footpath network. You can walk for miles, through a rolling landscape of fields & woods with magnificent views without crossing a road. Maps are provided and we have directions for a recommended 3 mile walk which takes about one and a half hours.
On site take the dog and or your children for morning stroll through the paddock, woods and down to the ponds. Spot our quirky sculptures and chat to the goat sheep & chickens.
Wildlife & Animals: Waste food recycling is not a problem. The pet sheep, goat and chickens love being fed your scraps and anything they don’t eat the wild birds will. Generally there are sheep, cattle and horses in the surrounding fields.
Local Food: Our free range eggs are a good start and we can recommend excellent butchers, organic vegetables, farm shops, cheeses makers and fish mongers all of whom supply local products. Alternatively, if you are happy with the “easy rather than the good life”, Tesco deliver here.
Eating out: Our local pub restaurant, The Gwarcefel Arms, offers a warm West Wales welcome to all, including well behaved dogs. It serves a good range of drinks and excellent pub food. Within a short driving distance we have details of a wide range of options, ranging from excellent “take aways” to “a la carte” restaurants.
