Holiday cottage Wales: Bird watching summer 2013

We, along with our holiday cottage guests, are enjoying more bird watching than ever this year.
 
Last year’s swallows have returned presumably with their chicks as we have 4 swallows’ nests this year, two each in our stone barn and in the new games room / activity barn. It means extra work cleaning up the droppings from the nests but it is worth it to watch them swoop around the farmyard and low over the ponds. We will savour the sight as will not be long before they leave West Wales and head south.
