Mwnt on the West Wales coast about 4.5 miles from Cardigan gets its name from the steep conical hill (Foel y Mwnt), a Cardigan Bay landmark, that rises above the beach. It is a National Trust site and is rated as one of their top ten most special in Wales.

There are spectacular views from the top of Mwnt hill across Cardigan Bay, often dolphins are spotted from here.  To the South you can see Cardigan island and to the north, on a clear day, to the Snowdonia mountains.

Mwnt  church is the oldest in  the Ceredigion, with its location overlooking Cardigan Bay is stunning. Many people feel the church is a special place – a ‘thin place’ – where the presence of God seems very real.

The Church of the Holy Cross is an example of a medieval sailor's chapel of ease. The site is said to have been used since the Age of the Saints, but the present building is probably 14th century. It has an example of a 12th or 13th century font made of Preseli stone.

Mwnt beach is one of the finest on the Ceredigion coast, it is dog friendly outside of the summer season.
