Mwnt Church is the oldest church in the County of Ceredigion.

The church with its location overlooking Cardigan Bay is stunning. Many people feel the church is a special place – a ‘thin place’ – where the presence of God seems very real.

Services are held here during the summer months and also at the festivals of harvest, Christmas and Easter. The church is also a popular venue for weddings.

Mwnt on the West Wales coast about 4.5 miles from Cardigan gets its name from the steep conical hill (Foel y Mwnt), a Cardigan Bay landmark, that rises above the beach. It is a National Trust site.

The Church of the Holy Cross is an example of a medieval sailor's chapel of ease. The site is said to have been used since the Age of the Saints, but the present building is probably 14th century. It has an example of a 12th or 13th century font made of Preseli stone
