Holiday cottage day out Ospreys, mill/waterfalls & dog friendly beach.

Some more nice weather last week so we had a day out to enjoy it. We headed for north Ceredigion to see the Ospreys, called in at a water mill/falls and the fantastic beach at Borth.

Wild fruit on holiday cottage local dog friendly walk

Our Friday afternoon walk was through the woods with the dogs. Earlier in the year bluebells bloomed, yesterday there was a delicious crop of bilberries (wild blue berries). The dogs had a fantastic romp through the woods chasing squirrels and rabbits.

Holiday cottage bird watching

Last week’s guests rose to the challenge set by the previous weeks guest who had spotted 21 bird species on site. This week’s total 31 species. For both sets of guests the highlight was seeing the woodpecker feeding chicks. Great photo, thank you Daw

Seasonal romantic break in cool tub?

Cardigan Bay dolphins; world record attempt

Many of our cottage guests go to nearby New Quay to see the Cardigan Bay dolphins. It is probably the best place in Britain to spot them. Most of the boat trips are dog friendly. On Saturday 24th September there will be a world record attempt lea

We had a great time again (4th visit) at Stallion Valley and we thought the Byre was lovely. Nancy (see photo & her dog holiday adventure 2015 ) enjoyed chasing the squirrels and she also enjoyed her sightings of Misty (our white cat) too!!

Guest feedback The Farmhouse June 2016 (available 16th July)

The Farmhouse feels comfortable and homely but very practical for dogs too. Slate floor, dog gate, secure garden, fenced paddock etc. really make a difference!
