“ Take some stout shoes and paln to spend sometime at Devils brodge exploring the waterfalls. The waterfall paths are slippery when wet and steep so not recommended if you are not fit or have youngsters and or pushchairs ”

The Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway.

The railway is between Aberystwyth and Devils Bridge and the 12 mile, 1 hour journey is through one a Wales’ most beautiful valleys.

The steam trains set off from Aberystwyth and soon leave the town following the Rheidol River through rural meadow land. Gradually the track climbs as it rises above the river along the hillside. The views down and along the Rheidol Valley are superb.

After climbing nearly 700 feet the train reaches Devils Bridge.

There is a café at the station and the village and waterfall walks are just a short walk away.
