We stayed in The Byre, a modern single storey, semi-detached barn conversion with a spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, with vaulted ceiling and wood burner. There are no steps anywhere in this cottage so it's very accessible. The two comfortable bedrooms cater for up to four guests; there is a good-sized bathroom with walk-in shower. The floors are tiled throughout making it easier to clean up if there is an accident - a mop and bucket is provided. Dogs are allowed access to all of the accommodation but not on beds or furniture. Free Wi- Fi is available.
The property has a private patio and garden area, which is well fenced; barbeque, patio furniture and umbrella are provided.
The property is very environmentally friendly. There extensive recycling containers, cooked vegetables can be fed to the chickens and red the goat and margh the sheep are happy to eat any raw vegetable waste.
A welcome pack included home-produced free range eggs. Owner Julie Baross was very welcoming and very happy to provide any information on walks and nearby dog friendly beaches and attractions. There are also two resident dogs.
Set in a rural location Stallion valley has around three and a half acres of grounds, including woodlands and ponds, as well as an enclosed grass exercise area. Dogs are allowed off a lead provided they are under control unless there animals in the fields. The woodland area was lovely for Tasha to play safely in.
