Derwen Trails from Byrgwyn
Green/easy distance 9.2 km time 1.5 – 2 hours climb 506 meters
Blue/moderate distance 4.7 km time 0.75 – 1 hour climb 307 meters
A good introduction to mountain bike riding, steady climbs and fun descents through lovely scenery and flowing forest terrain.
The blue can be added to the green and progresses on to a steeper climb and faster descent. It also provides a stepping stone on to the steeper and more technical red Gorlech route.
Gorlec Trail from Abergorlech
Red/difficult distance 19km time 1.5 – 3 hours climb 1071 meters
This trail is named after the River Gorlech, has great scenery and terrain and excitement to match. The trail is a hard fast surface, all weather which becomes more exciting as your skill levels and speed progress. Mountain bikers will enjoy sculptured bends, huge switchbacks, jumps and tabletops and an exhilarating final descent.
Raven Trail from Byrgwm
Black/severe distance 18.5 km time 1.5 – 2 hours climb 725 meters
Designed by Rowan Sorrel and Brian Rumble this trail is suitable only for proficient riders. This fast undulating trail sweeps between trees and flows sinuously. It will test your skills to the limit.
