Hi, we are Tilly and Bernie from Barry Island and we would like to tell you about our Dog Holiday adventure to Stallion Valley in November.
We had a great time; mam & dad took us there so we could help write a review of Stallion Valley cottages for the Dog Friendly magazine and website.
We stayed in the Byre holiday cottage, which is surrounded by fields and very peaceful. The floors were lovely and warm (underfloor heating) and there was a log burner to sit in front of, so it was really cosy.
Outside the Byre’s French doors is an enclosed garden for us to safely run around and the garden light was great for mam & dad to be able to see us in the dark.
Some agility dogs were on holiday in the next-door cottage and they had set up their agility equipment in the enclosed play paddock. We had great fun with mam & dad and learnt how to jump but the weaving cones were a challenge! The paddock had lots of space for ball games.
The Stallion Valley pond was our very our own swimming pool. Towels and a hot water outdoor shower were available. After we had finished swimming mum sat down for a rest on the swing seat.
All too quickly our 2-day break was over. Perhaps we can come again in the summer and visit the fabulous beaches resident dogs, Hamish and Billy told us about and the dog friendly pub 5 minutes’ walk from the cottage, plus all the other great things to do nearby?
