Penlon Brewery
Penlon Beer isn’t just what we do, it’s where we live and that’s why we get so excited about it.
For over a decade, Penlon has led the way in creating unique, sometimes challenging, always delicious traditional real ales.
Our range of ten beers are born and raised right here at our home farm, perched high above New Quay on the stunning Cardigan coastline.
Brewed in the old milking parlour on our home farm, and bottled in one of our barns, our philosophy is to make beers we like to drink and to share them with those who appreciate real ale and to educate those who don’t..
The 10 ales, lager and stouts that we produce are all bottle-conditioned. This means that the secondary fermentation of each beer happens in the bottle, so each is a real-ale in a bottle. We can achieve this because all beer is brewed and bottled by hand.
Because we do everything at the farm ourselves, we know exactly what goes into each beer. And whilst we do use seaweed to help clarify the beers, unlike most breweries we don’t use fish swim bladder – which means all our bottled beers are vegetarian and most are also suitable for vegans.
