Dogs are prohibited from Aberystwyth's South Beach between Castle Headland (northern limit) and the first groyne at the end of South Marine Terrace (southern limit), also from Aberystwyth's North Beach between the north side of the Landing Stage and the extreme northern end of the Beach at Craig Glais between the 1st May and 30th September

Aberystwyth is sheltered sand and shingle beach in the middle of Cardigan Bay. Aberystwyth is Ceredigion’s largest town the population is swelled to 18,000 by the local university.

It is a popular family seaside resort with pier, promenade, bandstand, cliff railway and castle. The Rheidol River flows into the marina/harbour south of the town centre. Heading north along the prom is the south beach, the castle, the point, the pier and the North beach which ends at the cliff railway.

Aberystwyth has lots of facilities parking near the beach can be difficult in the summer.
