National Coracle Museum at Cenarth Falls

The National Coracle centre overlooks the falls at Cenarth and houses an exhibition on the history of coracle fishing and coracle construction.

Coracles were once used all over Britain, but their use only continues today in a very few locations, of which Cenarth is one. They are used for net fishing, the net being held between two coracles which drift down with the current, catching Salmon or Sewin during the open season.

The centre stands in the grounds of an important 17 th century flour mill, which was once a focal point for the local economy (remaining in use until 1939)

The centre also has a shop selling books, CDs, and models
