Narberth Castle is a rectangular castle with towers on each corner but, not much remains today. Access to the castle is restricted due health and safety concerns.

Narbeth museum houses a scale model of the castle will help you visualize what once stood on the site of Narberth castle that today lies in ruin. An interactive game illustrates the tactics used in medieval siege warfare.

Perhaps the most fascinating thing about Narberth is the legends that are attached to it. The castle's exact origin lies back in the mists of time but it is believed the site may once have been occupied by a palace spoken of in the Mabinogion, a collection of ancient legends and myths. It was supposedly the home of Pwyll, Prince of Dyfed.
