This is a wild open common with some great walking and wind turbines on the horizon. More wind turbines are planned but there is a strong protest movement against them.
Llanllwni Mountain, part of the Crown Estates, is an area of common land managed by local graziers and is also open access for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
Generally you will see ponies grazing there and often buzzards and red kites souring overhead..
