Cilgerran Wildlife Centre to Cardigan return, 2 miles

This is a nice short relaxing walk, through the Teifi Marsh nature reserve and then along and over the River Teifi into Cardigan.

Entrance to the Wildlife Centre is free but parking for the day is £3.  The Wildlife Centre Building is an award winning design.  It has a café, exhibits, toilets, a picnic site with great views and a variety of walks.  Most of the footpaths are wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.

Take the wetlands walk footpath which starts near the car park.  Through the reserve are various hides for viewing the wildlife, birds, buffalo and if you are lucky otters! You will see marshes, ponds, woodland and eventually come to the Teifi River where you leave the park and follow the path along the river and over the bridge past the castle into Cardigan.

Cardigan is a busy town with lots of places to eat or drink many of which are dog friendly.  Children and adults will enjoy the Yum Yum traditional sweet shop.

Having enjoyed the Cardigan Town return the way you came to the Cilgerran Wildlife park  entrance and return to the car park via the return loop of the circular wetlands path.
