The Hafod Estate 5 way marked walks

In the late 18th century the Hafod Estate was designed in the picturesque style by Thomas Johnes and became an essential destination for visitors touring Wales.

The estate has magnificent woodlands, tumbling streams, waterfalls, beautiful bridges, the Ystwyth River and magnificent views across The Cambrian Mountains.

Today the mansion has gone but the historic walks network has been restored to allow you to enjoy this special landscape. The walks were designed to provide walkers with ever changing wonderful views, often revealed only as your turn the corner of the path.

There are 5 way marked walks through the woodlands, including the moderate Lady’s Walk (3.6km) and the strenuous Gentleman’s Walk (6km). Walks can be combined for the more energetic.
