Stallion Valley holiday cottages Coronavirus Update 23.03.19

Over the last 18 years we have spent £100,000s to build our holiday cottage business from a derelict farmyard with no toilet to a business that has provided 100s of holidays to guests many of whom return year after year. 

We love our business and have enjoyed making friends with visitors and seeing their children grow up into young adults. It is our passion to make it the best it can be and it also our living.

 We have an essential team of helpers, Jayne and Martin who work with us all year and other seasonal staff.

⦁To date we have received about 50% of our annual bookings 

⦁Most of those customers have paid a 35% deposit

⦁It appears we will be eligible for a grant to the value of 25% annual sales

⦁It appears that we will not receive, support to pay our staff 

⦁Cash flow is going to be very tight

The current situation

⦁Government advice to stay at home

⦁No more bookings for the foreseeable future

⦁We advise customers that all payments are non-refundable and that they should insure against cancellation losses

The plan

⦁Pay our permanent staff 50% of their wages

⦁Close for new bookings until at least the end of May

⦁Offer all customers (whose bookings are liable to cancellation) an ex gratia credit of 50% of payments made, for future holiday bookings
