Red kite sunset for holiday for holiday cottages in Wales

It was a lovely day here yesterday and it was a real pleasure to take our dogs for a walk in the fields behind the holiday cottages just before sunset.

There was nothing in the fields so our 2 dogs had a great off lead walk whist I marvelled at the kites overhead.

Two red kites live and nest here all year around, but in the winter more gather. Yesterday there were eight. It was a bird watching treat to see then riding the breeze swooping and soaring with a twitch of their forked tails.

Add to that the red tinge of the setting evening sun, peace and quiet only broken by the eerie red kite calls. A great way to end a busy day outdoors repairing fences.
