Teifi River weather station

Stallion Valley holiday cottages are situated less than two miles from the banks of the River Teifi halfway between its source in the Cambrian Mountains and its mouth in Cardigan where it flows into Cardigan Bay, West Wales.

The other day we went for a walk from Cilgerran Wildlife Centre along the Teifi River gorge to Cilgerran Castle, along the way we spotted this sign Teifi River weather station outside heritage canoes, a good example of West Wales’ humour.

This week we have experienced all of the first four on the list but have had lots of daytime sunshine and our holiday cottages have enjoyed lots of time on the local beaches.

We had a great dog friendly walk through this scenic gorge to the historic Cilgerran Castle strategically located on the cliffs overlooking the river.
