National Trust Wales’ top ten Special Places: Mwnt

Mwnt is among the National Trust Wales’ top ten Special Places shortlist announced last week.

Speaking at the launch, National Trust’s Richard Neale said: "As a conservation charity, we know there are a huge number of treasured areas across Wales, and we realise there are many which extend beyond our own fantastic properties and grounds. This campaign really does show just how many diverse special places there are across Wales.

Mwnt is just a short drive away and it’s beach, cliffs and church are special to many of our holiday cottage guests. One romantic young man got down on one knee and proposed marriage there ……….she said yes and afterwards they celebrated with a couple of drinks at our local pub which is just 5 minutes’ walk from Stallion Valley.

Those of you with dogs need not be put off, Mwnt beach is only dog free in summer months and there are lots of other nearby dog friendly beaches to choose from.
