West Wales at its best: Winter walking on the Ceredigion Coastal Path

Yesterday it was a glorious sunny but cold winter’s day here in Ceredigion.

We were behind schedule with our resolution, to walk the whole of the Ceredgion Coastal path this year, so we rushed off after lunch with our 2 dogs to add a few miles to our tally.

Llanrhystud to Morfa Bychan we took 2 cars so we were able to walk the 7 miles one way only.

It was absolutely wonderful, walking into the low winter’s sun, which was glinting on the sea and casting shadows which threw the landscape into sharp relief.

The dogs had a wonderful time running free off their leads for most of our walk through empty fields. The only people we saw all afternoon were two farmers moving sheep.

Afterwards we dropped the dogs off at home for a well-earned rest before setting off on a much shorter 5 minute walk to the pub for a couple of drinks and a tasty meal. Bliss!
