"A great week enjoyed by us and Jasmin, our dog, a bouncy springer…. Found the dog friendly recommendations very helpful.
Places we enjoyed:-
• Cei Bach beach – Jasmin’s favourite!
• Cwm Tydu beach – small but lovely plus nice café, dogs welcome on terrace
• Coed-y – Foel Woods – very pretty, bluebells still out. Lovely walk for the dog.
• Mwnt – National Trust coast – church and path around hill. Dogs not allowed on the beach.
• Dolphins – in the bay at New Quay
• Gwarcefel Arms – very nice meal & dog friendly in bar area. Staff & locals very friendly. (5 minutes’ walk away)
• The Daffodil – also very good meal and dog friendly in bar area
• Cilgerran Castle - nice for a quick visit and walk along the river.
We generally found the whole area welcoming and friendly with many shops and cafes dog friendly, even some you would not expect to be. A thoroughly enjoyable week, despite a few rain showers."
