Holiday cottage Wales: On site bird watching Heron

For a few days now a Heron has been visiting our ponds and a couple of days ago I managed to grab a photo of him/her?  We think the attraction might be frogs and or their spawn.

Our holiday cottage guests were really excited to see him/her at close quarters.

Also spotted yesterday a pied wagtail returning to nest again, we hope.

Our resident birds all seem in good voice and have turned up the volume to welcome spring.  The woodpeckers, buzzards and red kites in particular have been making themselves heard against the regular birdsong sound track.
